True Story-Teacher as a Bully.

Just like the title says, a teacher. Yes, this is true, yes it was a teacher, and it happened in NC. I cannot say to much, but I only know if this because a young girl was recording so she would not miss anything. The recording only has her face and the face of he friend which came to the recue.

Now a days, many schools are using media in there civic classes so the students can see what is going on in the world and the teacher can use that material and plan a lesson. The media in question is CNN10. This is designed for students over the age of 13. However, the students were ages 9-10. Now a side note, for everything that is happening in the world today, many of the new sources are biased to a particular political party. I am not gonna sugar coat it, we all know this being adults.

During this particular day and what CNN10 was airing at the time, it dealt with race. Black race this, white race that, hispanic this and so on. The race group does this, and that. You get my drift right. Well, after the news report went off, the teacher started to ask students there thoughts. The teacher then decided to ask each student to identify themselves on what race they are. On the video, you can hear students say what they are and others not sure. You heard things like, black, mexican, and brown. The teacher corrected the students and informed them that they are mixed. Mixed? Like a dog? That was my thought when I heard it. Then a few students later, the teacher started to use tri-racial. Then she gets to, lets call her Padme, and asked her what she is. She looked around, thought about it for a second and her answer was "I'm American". I do not care who you are, that was the best answer. However, the teacher said "no, what type of American are you" Padme thought about it for another few seconds and responded" German" (her family has a strong German descent) The teacher ask her if she was born in Germany, and of course she was not. (she is teaching herself German like her uncle did) Then the teacher must have had enough and stated "honey you are white or caucasian. Then the teacher finished up going around the room. The other students that were white made sure to say that due to the teacher speaking like she did.

Within a 10 minutes or so, the teacher had Padme about to cry and upset. The teacher made sure to let the class know how bad white people are and how they have oppressed other races. Now, her friend, which is a good friend reached over and hugged her and told her that is not true and everything will be ok. Before the camera stopped, you can hear another friend go to Padme and told her not to listen because that teacher is a b*tch. Padme closest friends are hispanic, black, and white.

So, here is a group of friends of different backgrounds and race watching out for each other. Even if it is a teacher that is causing the verbal abuse. With this act of kindness and compassion, the rest of the day was back to normal because these group of friends do not see each other by race or anything else but only who they are and how this friendship can be everlasting hopefully with years to come.
